Hailing from Tuscon, USA, and with both his parents being classical musicians, Matt McGowan’s sonic career seemingly began in the cradle. Taking up the violin at age 3 seemed only natural, and with his ever growing obsession with timbre and tone it was only a matter of time for other instruments to follow. It was not until 2007 however that his growing love for the sounds of Ed Rush & Optical, Noisia, Spor, Phace and Black Sun Empire -in other words, the creme de la creme of modern neurofunk- led him to focus on production. Thus equipped with a profound knowledge of the musical past and a distinct taste for the present, he sets out to become the Beethoven of beats and the Bartok of bass.
